Good price and quality for a carbon city bike

Recently received the product (very fast) and really happy , there were some minor issues with parts but after service was responsive and helpful and offered a solution and shipped a replacement for the rear light and other.

Bike handles well and has lots of power and the battery is long lasting, it is quite stiff so not to be used on bumpy roads so the perfect city commuter with built in lock and alarm.

The app works really well and easy to check battery level and to be fair they include a fast charger so if you know you are leaving in an hour you can easily get it to a full charge.

My conclusion is that the N1 pro is really good in terms of price/quality and if you hesitate don't you will like it

Mit dem 8A-Ladegerät und dem 365Wh-Akku ist das Ding in nur zwei Stunden vollgeladen. Und das alles bei einem Carbon-Bike für unter 2000 Euro – ich bin echt super zufrieden! 👍

Acquistata direttamente dall'e-shop del produttore, questa e-bike a pedalata assistita con motore centrale Ananda è arrivata con qualche piccolo intoppo iniziale, ma il servizio clienti ha risposto con una cortesia impeccabile e ha agito con tempi rapidissimi: i pezzi di ricambio sono partiti dalla Polonia e sono arrivati in pochi giorni lavorativi. Per ogni dubbio o chiarimento, hanno fornito video tutorial chiarissimi ed esaustivi, con dimostrazioni passo-passo che hanno reso tutto semplicissimo. Un'assistenza di questo livello trasforma un disguido in un'opportunità per dimostrare quanto il brand tenga ai clienti – complimenti!

I pregi di questa bici sono travolgenti e la rendono un must-have:

Design avveniristico e distintivo: La linea è pura arte su ruote, con fibra di carbonio che cattura ogni sguardo – non passa inosservata, punto.
Leggerezza straordinaria: Meno di 20 kg grazie al telaio in fibra di carbonio, perfetta anche come bici muscolare pura. La pedalata è estremamente naturale, grazie al sensore di coppia del motore Ananda che reagisce perfettamente già da fermo. I 5 livelli di assistenza sono calibrati alla perfezione: il primo livello, quasi impercettibile, dà la spinta ideale per falsopiani senza sforzo.
Potenza del motore: Assiste alla grande anche su pendenze >10%, salite impossibili diventano piacevoli.
Telaio elastico: Assorbe vibrazioni e piccole irregolarità del terreno, rendendo ogni km confortevole.
Smartlock e GPS integrati: Chicca futuristica assoluta! Connettività continua a internet, monitoraggio remoto via app – in caso di furto o smarrimento, è un salvavita.
Navigazione onboard: Funziona alla grande per il 90% degli scenari (strade, percorsi noti); non è Google Maps, ma è un plus enorme averla integrata senza smartphone.
La batteria 36V 10Ah nell'uso sportivo (solo assistenza in salita) consente di superare abbondantemente i 100km per dislivelli complessivi neutri.

Nota importante: Questa e-bike con sensore di coppia non è un mezzo passivo – richiede pedalata attiva, e questo è il suo genio! L'ho scelta proprio per estendere il mio raggio d'azione sportivo: modalità muscolare su discese/piano, assistenza solo su salite per conservare energie e raggiungere destinazioni lontane senza sfinirmi. Perfetta per ciclisti veri che vogliono superare i propri limiti! Gli pneumatici da strada confermano: nata per asfalto, non off-road – scelta azzeccatissima per commuting e uscite sportive.

Sugli aspetti migliorabili (che vedo come opportunità di evoluzione, non veri difetti):

Il portapacchi è elegante ma rende instabile una borsa.
Manca portaborraccia (soluzione facile: aggancio sottosella aftermarket).
Cavi manubrio davanti al faro.
Luce posteriore autonoma sul parafango (no stop-freno): una doppia luce stop a led su telaio sarebbe stata il top.
Tubo sella corto (per me 1,75m ok al max).
Campanello basico (facile upgrade).
Catena salta su buche grandi: tensione da regolare o guida-catena opzionale – hands dirty evitabili.

Considerazioni pratiche:

Per città come Napoli (strade irregolari) un sellino ammortizzato è ideale.
La ruota anteriore non è quick-release (non entra facilmente in tutti gli ascensori).
Assistenza max 25km/h, non sbloccabile/no acceleratore – perfetto per chi ama pedalare sul serio!

In sintesi: Questa e-bike è un trionfo di innovazione e prestazioni. Gli intoppi iniziali sono stati un'opportunità per scoprire un'assistenza stellare.

Almost Perfect City ebike

This Engwe N1 Pro is a Chinese city e-bike of excellent quality, with no compromises in terms of construction.
The electric bike is delivered from the European warehouse practically pre-assembled, and the most important tools for subsequent assembly are included. Only the front wheel, handlebars, pedals and mudguards remain to be assembled. The instructions are easy to understand, so even beginners should be able to follow them. Before starting to ride, it is worth tightening all the pre-assembled screws.
It has a Toray carbon fibre monocoque frame, it's aerodynamic, finished in small details, lightweight and elegant. All cables are routed internally up to the steering.
Unfortunately, the loose cables hang right in front of the bright integrated headlight, but with care they can be arranged around the front RGB lights. Behind, the rear light is detached, turns on automatically in the dark and recharges itself with a small solar panel.
The very distinctive design has a couple of flaws, one being the seat tube, which is too short and will need to be replaced for medium-tall riders, and the other being the lack of height adjustment on the handlebar with the display, which is impossible to change due to the cables.
I bought the e-bike as an early bird bundle with a nice heavy-duty luggage rack, where you can put bags or add a child seat.
The charger is large and controllable and allows for a quick full charge in up to 1.5 hours at maximum current (8A) or up to 6 hours at minimum current (2A) to preserve capacity.
The Samsung battery is well made with 360Wh, giving a range of about 60km on flat ground or 40km on hills at maximum assistance, and it allows for good acceleration and the 250W of power to the Ananda M1000 central motor with 80 NM of torque, legally limited to 25 km/h.
The electronic assistance can be adjusted to five levels, from Eco mode to maximum assistance for the most difficult climbs. It starts gently and never feels abrupt or artificial. Especially on flat sections, a low level of support is often sufficient for agile and fast travel. On hills, the N1 Pro shows its capabilities. The motor can handle even the steepest climbs, as long as you put in a little effort, it always remains pleasantly quiet.
The gearbox is a 7-speed Shimano Tourney, and there are Tektro 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 160 discs. The wheels are 700x42c with Chao Yang semi-slick tyres, which are good for mixed terrain between city and parks.
The riding position is sporty, so if you want to ride around town in a relaxed manner with your back straight, this is the wrong bike for you. The combination of low handlebars and short seat post forces you to lean forward. Comfort is decent thanks to the flexibility of the carbon frame, but without shock absorbers, I would not recommend riding on dirt roads or gravel.
The best advantage is obviously its light weight (only 19 kg) along with the anti-theft lock with GPS tracking, integrated eSim, Bluetooth connection, and all smart IoT functions controlled from the Engwe mobile app.
The bike locks automatically when switched off, but remember to chain it securely as even with the wheel locked it can easily be carried on your shoulder.
The eSIM features are free for one year from activation. After that, an annual fee of €39 will be charged.
Finally, Engwe has an excellent customer service, they respond quickly and are always helpful. In a couple of cases of manufacturing errors, they sent me a complete replacement part. So for me, if the price of the bike is under €2000, it's a really good deal.
