Unboxing and assembly took me about 20 minutes – the battery came at 75% charge.
I followed ENGWE’s official assembly video, and everything was straightforward.
The rear wheel comes pre-installed. You just need to lock in the front wheel, swap out the protective caps on the steering shaft, attach the handlebar, and pop up the seat post – then you’re ready to ride.
All the wiring was already connected, except for the front headlight, which only required a simple plug-in connection.
My front brake disc seemed slightly bent and was rubbing a bit. I contacted customer service, and they quickly sent me a video tutorial. I followed it and fixed the issue easily. Support was fast and responsive.
I weigh 130 kg and usually carry a backpack while riding.
My test ride was around 20 km, and the battery dropped from 100% to 80%.
To be fair, I really pushed it during testing. Riding exclusively in PAS level 5 will consume more battery, which is expected.
I live in a hilly area, so about half of the ride was uphill. I usually kept the bike in the lower gears, which felt like a light workout with solid pedal assist support.
I’m not sure exactly how the gear ratio impacts the battery, but overall, the experience was smooth, powerful, and efficient.
This is a great product – highly recommended!

Smooth riding experience

I've been riding the Engwe P275 SE for a few days now, and it's honestly exceeded my expectations. The sleek, minimalist design immediately caught my eye, but it's the smooth riding experience that truly impressed me. The torque-sensing system makes the pedal assist feel incredibly natural – it responds instantly without feeling jerky or artificial.

Commuting through the city has never been easier. The battery range easily supports my 35km round-trip daily ride, and I still have charge left at the end of the day. I also love how quiet the motor is – it’s powerful yet unobtrusive.

If you're looking for a well-built urban e-bike with a responsive motor and great range, the P275 SE is a solid choice. Engwe nailed it with this one!

Amazing Ebike

It‘s legal in Germany and looks great, has few welding points, very high-end, has torque sensing, and has great battery life, I like it very much.

It is more refined than I expected.

The frame welding is smooth, the cables are hidden very cleanly, and the ebike looks simple and neat. The hydraulic disc brakes are also very powerful, and there is no drifting when braking. The headlights are very bright, the frame is strong, there are cargo racks, and there are fenders. As a commuter vehicle, the configuration is basically in place.
